Kypros on saari Välimeren itäosassa. Sen pinta-ala on 9 251 km² ja asukasluku noin 1 320 525. Nykyisin saaren eteläosa on kreikkalaisten asuttaman Kyproksen tasavallan hallinnassa. Saaren turkkilaisväestö asuu Turkin miehittämässä pohjoisosassa, Pohjois-Kyproksen turkkilaisessa tasavallassa, jonka itsenäisyyttä ei ole tunnustanut Turkin lisäksi mikään muu maa.
